DR. MARGARET HADCOCK HONORED WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The Fresno Madera Medical Society recently honored Dr. Margaret Hadcock with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her many years of service as a general surgeon in the Fresno area. Practicing as a board certified general surgeon in the Central Valley since 1984, Dr. Hadcock chose to dedicate her practice exclusively to the care of patients with breast disease in 1993.

Simplifying the process of diagnosis, surgical treatment, and coordination of care with other breast cancer specialists is a hallmark of Dr. Hadcock’s practice. She is a founding member of a weekly multidisciplinary conference to review patient care and foster progressive discussion of care, and she and her staff focus on a patient-centered approach for their patients. Dr. Hadcock has also promoted development of lymphedema services provided by certified lymphedema therapists and has extended her knowledge of practical prevention of lymphedema to medical colleagues. She is also a participant in the Mastery of Breast Surgery program of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, which allows surgeons to collect, monitor, and share treatment data for patients nationwide.

A Montana native, Dr. Hadcock attended Carroll College in Helena, MT and went on to complete medical school and a surgical residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and maintains her practice with continual education. Dr. Hadcock is also the wife of Dr. Bill Hadcock, a vascular surgeon, and a mother of three.
