Award-Winning Hospital Expands Offerings to Include Ophthalmology Service Line
Fresno Surgical Hospital announced today the addition of six physician partners and the addition of an ophthalmology service line. The new partnership will add to the depth of services already offered by Fresno Surgical Hospital’s Center of Excellence.
The hospital’s new physician partners are: George Bertolucci, M.D., Mehdi Ghajar, M.D., Andrew Maxwell, M.D., Richard Mendoza, M.D., Daniel Prescott, M.D., and Carolyn Sakauye, M.D. All of these physicians are board certified ophthalmologists.

The hospital anticipates it will begin scheduling ophthalmology cases beginning in early 2014. To prepare for the additional surgical capabilities, the hospital is investing in specialized technology and equipment and has retained a RN consultant with many years of experience in ophthalmology surgery to oversee the transition.
