Dr. Minor’s initial introduction to Fresno and the surrounding communities came in 1990 when he accepted a scholarship to play baseball for Coach Bob Bennett and the Fresno State Bulldogs. He played on the 1991 College World Series team and was an All-American pitcher in his senior campaign. After two seasons of professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals, he matriculated to medical school at the University of Chicago, where he was elected president of his class. Dr. Minor completed six years of surgical training in Urology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), considered by experts to be one of the top five programs in the United States. Following a laparoscopic and robotic fellowship in Australia, he returned to the Central Valley in early 2007 to become the second founding member of Valley Urology.
